Fundraising totals measure a donor network. They do not measure a district. So we built the measure that does.
The scores
The read, and what moves first.
We read the district, the field you are actually in, and what you personally add. Every race gets the same read, whether it runs hot or quiet, and it is live: it moves with the race, computed again each time the record changes.
Green
The district’s vitals support the race you are running. Resource it and hold course.
Yellow
Something is moving that your current plan does not account for. Re-triage before the next spend.
Red
The read and the plan are in conflict. Continuing as budgeted is self-inflicted harm.
A poll is a good measurement of the day it was taken, and a well run one is worth what it costs. What it cannot tell you is what changed the week after. That gap is what we read: certified returns, registration and turnout history, the disclosed money, and the public calendar of the district, recomputed while the race is still happening.
